What is a Paid Consultation?
A Paid Consultation is a personalized, individual visit
to the premises, to advise the Homeowner of the type of work involved in the
installation of a heating/cooling unit. The fee for this service is applied
to the total cost of the installation job, should we be awarded the contract.
What services do I get
for the Paid Consultation?
Included in this service is an inspection of the machinery,
our recommendation for either the repair or replacement of the unit (if needed),
a review of quotations/bids received from other contractors. We usually send
two (2) Technicians/Installers who can answer all questions honestly and clearly
so the Homeowner can understand the type of work that needs to be done. We
usually expect to spend 2 hours (or more, if needed) to make sure that the
Homeowner has received accurate estimates and understands the scope of the
installation job. We also provide a free written estimate for our services.
What is included in the written estimate?
Oak Park Heating and Cooling will provide you with the
following information, in writing:
*Cost of Material and Equipment
*Estimated time needed to complete the job
*All the time necessary to answer all your questions
*Follow up after the job is completed
-before final payment
-after final inspection
What benefit do I get for paying for a Consultation
and hiring Oak Park Heating & Cooling to do the job?
A4. Once we are awarded the contract, you can be sure that
we are familiar with the problem, have already assessed the problem and then
can immediately begin the installation. Of course, the fee already paid is
applied to the bill. Thus you get two benefits - no delay in getting the job
started and a deposit has been received for the work to be done.
What benefit do I get for paying for a Consultation and not
hiring Oak Park Heating & Cooling to do the job?
Once we are paid for a Consultation, our job is not over,
even if we are not hired to do the actual replacement. We are available to
inspect the jobsite, before final payment is made to your hired contractor,
to make sure that all repairs are correctly done and that the company hired
by you has lived up to their commitment to you. This is included in the Paid
Consultation Fee.
What about required city inspections?
When an inspection is required by the city or township,
they send their trained inspectors out to review the installation. Their primary
concern is that the city or township's safety code has been met. They are
not concerned with the efficiency performance, quality of equipment and materials
or whether the system is adequate for heating/cooling. With our 30 years of
experience, and all the latest measurement instruments, we can let you know
that your new installation is adequate for your needs, before you make your
final payment.
ADDITIONAL POINTS TO PONDER:
1. A paid consultation is not an estimate.
2. An estimate is free with a paid consultation
3. We will match any written quotation for a lower price, on condition that
the equipment and material are the same.
4. We are so confident of our pricing, that if, within 30 days of completion
of the job, you get a lower quotation in writing, using the identical equipment
and material, we will refund you 125% of the difference.
